Ontario is reporting over 900 new cases of COVID-19 over a 24-hour period.
Provincial Health Minister Christine Elliott said the health authorities identified 928 new cases in last 24 hours.
Elliott further added that 450 of the new cases were identified in individuals who are not fully vaccinated.
“Individuals who are not fully vaccinated represent 23.3% of Ontario’s total population and amount to 450 of Ontario’s 928 new reported cases. 77 cases are in individuals with an unknown vaccination status,” Elliott said.
She also added that 340 people are hospitalized with COVID-19.
265 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 75 are fully vaccinated.
165 people are in ICU due to COVID-19, Elliott said, adding that 146 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 19 are fully vaccinated.
The Ontario Health also reported nine additional deaths due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
In Ontario, 24,076,464 vaccine doses have been administered. 90.1% of Ontarians 12+ have one dose and 87.4% have received two doses.
