The Toronto Police arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with multiple sexual assault incidents which took place in different parts of the city.
“Between Monday, October 1, 2021, and Tuesday, October, 2, 2021, officers responded to reports of sexual assault in a hotel in the Front Street West and York Street area,” the Toronto Police said in a statement.
The statement further added that a man reportedly entered the property and sexually assaulted a number of people.
On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 10:20 a.m., officers responded to a call for a sexual assault at Toronto Island Ferry Terminal, the Toronto Police said, adding that a man was allegedly standing at the entrance to the ferry terminal where he sexually assaulted a stranger who approached him on a bicycle.
The police arrested Prasanna Mondal, 24, of Toronto, in connection with the incidents and charged him with Sexual Assault. He appeared in court at old City Hall on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 10 a.m., via video link.
Meanwhile, the Toronto Police, said on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 3:46 p.m., officers responded to a call for a suspicious incident at a daycare centre on Algonquin Island (part of Toronto Island).
According to Toronto Police, a man allegedly sexually assaulted a number of children outside the daycare, soon after the children were released.
Police arrested the 24-year-old Prasanna Mondal in connection with the incident and charged him with Sexual Interference, the Toronto Police said, adding that he appeared in court at Old City Hall on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 10 a.m., via video link.
