Quebec and Ontario report 13 additional deaths due to COVID-19 in last 24 hours

The authorities in Quebec and Ontario on Saturday reported 13 additional deaths due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec reported 821 infection and three deaths over a 24-hour period.

The ministry also added that 264 people are currently being treated in the hospitals for COVID-19, including in 89 in Intensive Care Units.

Similarly, the Ontario Health, reported 821 new positive cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours and 10 additional deaths due to the virus.

Christine Elliott, Ontario’s Minister of Health, said 621 cases are in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 200 are in fully vaccinated individuals.

According Elliott, 329 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, including 295 people who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 34 other who are fully vaccinated.

She also added that 185 people are in ICU due to COVID-19, including 174 not fully vaccinated individuals.
