Quebec reports 0ver 500 coronavirus cases, one additional death


Quebec is reporting 509 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and one additional death in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said the health authorities collected 20,903 samples and identified 509 positive cases.

The province reported a slight increase in hospitalizations on on Monday. There are currently 202 people hospitalized due to COVID-19, an increase of 13 compared to the previous day.

The number remained stable in Intensive Care Unit where 42 people are receiving treatment, the Ministry of Health and Social Services added.

21 people were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours while 8 others were discharged, the ministry said, adding that 6 people were admitted to Intensive Care Unit, while 6 others were discharged.

Quebec’s health ministry also added that one additional death was reported in the las 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 5,096 doses of COVID-19 were administered, including 4,483 in the last 24 hours and 613 before November 14, for a total of 13,350,764 doses administered in Quebec.

Quebec on Sunday reported 634 cases of COVID-19 and 4 additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
