Quebec reports 10,573 COVID cases and 26 additional deaths 


The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec on Monday announced that 10,573 new cases of COVID-19 were identified in the last 24 hours.

The Quebec Health also reported 26 additional deaths due to COVID-19 during the period.

A total of 2,554 people are currently hospitalized in Quebec due to COVID. There was an increase of 118 in overall hospitalizations in the last 24 hours.

In Intensive Care Unit, a total of 248 individuals are being treated for a COVID-19, a decrease of 9 as compared to previous day.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec also added that 65,947 doses 9f COVID-19 vaccine were administered, including 62,722 in the last 24 hours and 3,225 before January 9, for a total of 15,752,494 doses administered in Quebec.

Outside Quebec, a total of 255,034 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 16,007,528 doses received by Quebecers.

The Quebec Health on Saturday reported 11,007 new cases of COVID-19 and 23 additional deaths due to the virus over a 24 hour period.
