Quebec reports 1,196 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday


The Quebec Health on Wednesday announced that the authorities have identified 1,196 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said 32,373 samples were taken on November 29, and 1,196 new cases were identified, increasing the total number of people infected to 449,367.

The ministry also reported 239 hospitalizations due to COVID-19, an increase of 12 compared to the previous day.

52 people are in Intensive Care Unit, an increase of 1 as compared to Tuesday.

The ministry also added that two new deaths were also reported in the last 24 hours, increasing the total of COVID-19 deaths to 11,581 since the start of the pandemic.

24,132 doses of COVID-19 vacxine were administered, including 23,009 in the last 24 hours and 1,123 before November 30, for a total of 13,638,420 doses administered in Quebec.
