Quebec reports 13,149 new cases of COVID-19 and ten additional deaths


Quebec is reporting 13,149 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and ten additional deaths due to the virus.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said 804 people are currently hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Quebec.

There was an increase of 102 in overall hospitalizations in the past 24 hours. 179 people were admitted to hospital due to COVID-19, while 77 others were discharged.

Currently, 122 people are receiving treatment in Intensive Care Unit for COVID-19, an increase of 7 as compared to the previous day.

A toatl of 20 people were admitted to ICU due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours and 13 others were discharged.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec also added that 88,309 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered, including 82,673 in the last 24 hours and 5,636 before December 28, for a total of 14,900,242 doses administered in Quebec.

Outside Quebec, a total of 248,627 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 15,148,869 doses received by Quebecers.
