Quebec reports 1,355 new cases of COVID-19 over a 24-hour period

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec announced Friday that the authorities have identified 1,355 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in last 24 hours.

Two new deaths related to COVID-19 were also reported in the past 24 hours, the ministry added.

Currently, 230 people are hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Quebec, an increase of three as compared to Thursday.

In the last 24 hours, 24 people were admitted to hospital due to COVID-19 and 21 others were discharged.

The ministry also added that 57 people are being treated in Intensive Care Unit for COVID-19, an increase of 4 as compared to the previous day.

29,119 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered were administered, including 27,893 in the last 24 hours and 1,226 before December 2, for a total of 13,695,097 doses administered in Quebec.

Quebec on Thursday reported 1,146 new cases of COVID-19 and two additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
