Quebec reports 1,753 new cases of COVID-19 over a 24-hour period


Quebec is reporting 1,753 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24-hour period.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said one additional death due to COVID-19 was also reported in the last 24 hours.

Currently, 262 people are hospitalized in Quebec due to COVID-19, a slight increase of 11 as compared to the previous day.

194 people are receiving treatment in non-ICU wards for COVID-19, an increase of 6 as compared to Saturday.

The ministry also reported a slight increase in ICU admissions in the past 24 hours. Currently, 68 individuals are being treated in Intensive Care for COVID-19.

The Quebec Health on Saturday reported 1,982 new cases and four additional COVID-19 related deaths.
