Quebec reports 2,386 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday

Quebec is reporting 2,386 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24-hour period.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec in a statement said four additional deaths were also reported in the lastn24 hours.

The statement further added that 309 people are currently hospitalizedbdue to COVID-19 in Quebec, an increase of 16 compared to the previous day.

Currently, 73 people in intensive care, a decrease of 2 compared to Tuesday.

48,977 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered, including 46,793 in the last 24 hours and 2,184 before December 14, for a total of 14,081,687 doses administered in Quebec, according to the Ministry of Health and Social Servicesbof Quebec.

Outside Quebec, a total of 240,794 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 14,322,481 doses received by Quebecers.
