Quebec reports 340 new cases of coronavirus and 4 more deaths


Quebec is reporting 340 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and four additional deaths in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said the health authorities collected 20,962 samples and identified 438 positive cases.

The ministry further added that 259 people are hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 66 people are in Intensive Care Unit.

16 people were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours while 16 others were discharged, the ministry said, adding that 4 person was admitted in Intensive Care Unit, while 7 others were discharged.

Quebec’s health ministry also added that four people died of the virus in the las 24 hours, bringing the total number of COVID deaths to 11,481.

8,900 doses administered are added, i.e. 8,464 in the last 24 hours and 436 before October 25, for a total of 13,184,753 doses administered in Quebec. Outside Quebec, a total of 214,357 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 13,399,110 doses received by Quebecers.
