Quebec reports 3,768 new cases of COVID-19

Quebec is reporting 3,768 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24-hour period.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said seven additional deaths were also reported due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

The ministry in a statement said 312 people are currently hospitalized duebto the virua an increase of 7 compared to the previous day.

The statement further added that 62 people in intensive care, a decrease of 1 compared to Thursday.

The ministry also addednthat 58,507 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered, including 56,097 in the last 24 hours and 2,410 before December 16, for a total of 14,194,764 doses administered in Quebec.

Outside Quebec, a total of 242,039 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 14,436,803 doses received by Quebecers.

The Quebec Health and Social Services Ministry in Thursday reported 2,736 new cases of COVID-19 and six additional deaths.
