Quebec reports 511 COVID-19 cases and one additional death


Quebec is reporting 511 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and one additional death in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said the health authorities collected 29,452 samples and identified 511 positive cases.

The ministry further added that 240 people are hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 68 people are in Intensive Care Unit.

20 people were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours while 24 others were discharged, the ministry said, adding that 7 person was admitted in Intensive Care Unit, while 6 others were discharged.

Quebec’s health ministry also added that one person died of the virus in the las 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 13,844 doses of COVID vaccine were administered, 12,641 in the last 24 hours and 1,203 before October 28, for a total of 13,223,559 doses administered in Quebec.

Outside Quebec, a total of 216,656 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 13,440,215 doses received by Quebecers.
