Quebec is reporting 52 additional deaths due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24 hour period.
The Ministry of Health and Social Services Quebec said the health authorities identified 8,351 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to a statement released by the ministry, a total of 8,351 individuals are hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Quebec.
The statement further added that there was an increase of 135 in overall hospitalizations due to COVID-19.
Currently, 263 people are in Intensive Care Unit due to COVID-19, an increase of 8 as compared to the previous day.
The Ministry of Health and Social Services also added that 111,033 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered, including 107,238 in the last 24 hours and 3,795 before January 11, for a total of 15,964,285 doses administered in Quebec.
Outside Quebec, a total of 256,425 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 16,220,710 doses received by Quebecers.
