Quebec reports 531 coronavirus cases, 4 additional deaths


Quebec is reporting 531 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and four additional deaths in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said the health authorities collected 22,006 samples and identified 571 positive cases.

The province reported a slight decrease in hospitalizations on Monday. There are currently 225 people hospitalized due to COVID-19, a decrease of 2 compared to the previous day.

There has also been slight a decrease in Intensive Care Unit where 48 people are receiving treatment, a decrease of 6 compared to the previous day, the Ministry of Health and Social Services added.

Twelve people were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours while 14 others were discharged, the ministry said, adding that 1 person was admitted to Intensive Care Unit, while 3 others were discharged.

Quebec’s health ministry also added that 4 additional deaths were reported in the las 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 4,864 doses of COVID-19, vaccine were administered, including 4,195 in the last 24 hours and 669 before November 7, for a total of 13,329,219 doses administered in Quebec.

Quebec on Sunday reported 546 cases of COVID-19 and 3 additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
