Quebec reports 545 COVID-19 cases, 6 additional death


Quebec is reporting 545 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and six additional death in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said the health authorities collected 22,048 samples and identified 545 positive cases.

The province reported a slight decrease in hospitalizations on Tuesday. There are currently 219 people hospitalized due to COVID-19, a decrease of 6 compared to the previous day.

There has also been slight a decrease in Intensive Care Unit where 45 people are receiving treatment, a decrease of 3 compared to the previous day, the Ministry of Health and Social Services added.

Fourteen people were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours while 20 others were discharged, the ministry said, adding that 3 people were admitted to Intensive Care Unit, while six others were discharged.

Quebec’s health ministry also added that six additional deaths were reported in the las 24 hours.

10,284 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered, including 9,406 in the last 24 hours and 878 before November 8, for a total of 13,339,503 doses administered in Quebec.

Quebec on Monday reported 531 cases of COVID-19 and four additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
