Quebec is reporting 571 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and one additional death in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said the health authorities collected 29,114 samples and identified 571 positive cases.
The province reported a slight increase in nonICU hospitalizations on Friday. There are currently 183 people hospitalized due to COVID-19, an incrrase of 5 compared to the previous day.
However, the province reported a decline in Intensive Care Unit where 57 people are receiving treatment, a decrease of 6 compared to the previous day, the Ministry of Health and Social Services added.
Twenty one people were admitted to hospital in the last 24 hours while 22 others were discharged, the ministry said, adding that 2 people were admitted in Intensive Care Unit, while 8 others were discharged.
Quebec’s health ministry also added that one additional death was reported in the las 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 16,115 doses of COVID vaccine were administered, including 14,683 in the last 24 hours and 1,432 before November 4, for a total of 13,301,485 doses administered so far.
Quebec on Thursday reported 588 cases of COVID-19 and zero additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
