Quebec reports 754 new cases of COVID-19, 7 more deaths over a 24-hour period


The Quebec Health on Thursday reported that 754 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been identified in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec in a statement said the new cases were identified from 33,812 samples collected on 21st September.

The statement further added that 7 more deaths were also reported in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 11,347 since the start of pandemic.

Furthermore, 283 people are hospitalized due to COVID-19 and people are intensive care units.

The ministry also added that 15,576 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were also administered in the past 24 hours. A total of 12,799,063 doses have been administered till date.
