Quebec reports close to 1,200 COVID-19 cases on Saturday

The Quebec Health on Saturday announced that the authorities have identified close to 1,200 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said 1,171 new cases were identified over a 24-hour period.

Three additional deaths due to COVID-19 were also reported during the period.

There are 205 people hospitalized in Quebec due to COVID-19, a decrease of one in total hospitalizations as compared to Friday.

Currently, 157 people are being in treated in non-Intensive Care Units, a reduction of six as compared to the previous day.

However, the Ministry of Health and Social Services reported an increase of five in Intensive Care Unit admissions in the last 24 hours, increasing the total number of ICU patients to 48.

The Quebc Health on Friday reported 1,037 new cases of COVID-19 and zero additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
