Quebec reports close to 750 COVID-19 cases, 2 more deaths in last 24 hours

Quebec is reporting close to 750 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and two additional deaths due to the virus in the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said Friday that the health authorities identified 745 out of 29,986 samples collected on 17 November.

The ministry reported a slight decrease in hospitalizations in the past 24 hours.

201 hospitalizations, for a decrease of 4 compared to the previous day, the ministry said, adding that 17 people were admitted and 21 others were discharged.

45 people are being treated for COVID-19 in Intensive Care Unit, a decrease of a one as compared to the previous day.

Five people were admitted to Intensive Care Unit in the past 24 hours and six others were discharged.

The ministry of health and social services of Quebec also added that 12,263 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered, including 11,413 doses in the last 24 hours and 850 doses before November 18, for a total of 13,451,122 doses administered in Québec.
