Quebec reports over 12,800 new cases of COVID-19 and 15 additional deaths


The Ministry of Public Health and Social Services of Quebec announced Tuesday that the health authorities have identified 12,833 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

The ministry also reported 15 additional deaths due to COVID-19 during the period.

Currently, 702 people are hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Quebec, an increase of 88 in overall hospitalizations since last reported.

According to Ministry of Health and Social Services, 587 people are receiving treatment in non-ICU wards due to COVID-19, which shows an increase of 82.

In Intensive Care Unit, 115 people are receiving treatment for COVID-19, an increase of 6 as compared to Monday.

The Quebec Health on Monday reported 8,231 new cases of COVID-19 over a 24 hour period and ten additional deaths due to the virus.
