Quebec is reporting over 1,700 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and seven additional deaths in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health and Social Services said 1,747 new cases of COVID-19 were identified in the past 24 hours, bringing the total cases to 469,356 since the beginning of pandemic.
The ministry in a statement said seven additional deaths due to COVID-19 were also reported in past 24 hours.
Currently, 293 people are hospitalized due to COVID-19, an increase of 25 in overall hospitalizations as compared to Monday.
75 people are being treated in Intensive Care for COVID-19, the ministry said, adding that there was an increase of two in ICU numbers as compared to previous day.
The ministry also added that 35,093 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered, including 34,001 in the last 24 hours and 1,092 before December 13, for a total of 14,032,710 doses administered in Quebec.
