Quebec is reporting over 4,500 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and three additional deaths due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said the health authorities identified 4,571 new cases of 38,879 samples.
Three additional deaths were also reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 11,642 since the beginning of pandemic.
Currently, 397 people are hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Quebec, an increase of 21 as compared to previous day.
49 individuals were admitted to hospital in the past 24 hours, while 28 others were discharged, the Ministry of Health and Social Services said.
The ministry also added that 82 people are in Intensive Care Unit, an increase of 3 as compared to Sunday.
Ten individuals were admitted to Intensive Care Unit in the last 24 hours, while seven others were discharged.
47,287 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered are added, including 45,063 in the last 24 hours and 2,224 before December 19, for a total of 14,358,997 doses administered in Quebec. Outside Quebec, a total of 243,925 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 14,602,922 doses received by Quebecers.
The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec on Sunday reported 3,846 new cases and three additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
