Quebec reports over 700 COVID-19 cases, 2 additional deaths over a 24-hour period


The Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec announced Friday that 716 cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) were identified in Quebec in the past 24 hours.

The ministry said the new cases were identified out of 30,139 samples taken on November 10.

Two additional deaths were also reported in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 11,535 since the beginning of pandemic.

Currently, 205 people are hospitalized due to COVID-19, and 40 people are being treated in Intensive Care Unit.

Eleven people were admitted to hospital in the past 24 hours and 21 others were discharged, the Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec said, adding that 4 people were admitted in Intensive Care Unit and 6 others were discharged.

The ministry also added that 14,294 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered, including 13,443 doses in the last 24 hours and 851 before November 11, for a total of 13,379,659 doses of vaccine administered in Quebec so far.
