Saskatchewan reports 126 COVID-19 cases and ten additional deaths in past 24 hours


Saskatchewan reported 126 new cases of the novel coronavirus and ten additional deaths within the last 24 hours.

Five of the new cases were identified in the Far North West, 8 in Far North East, 6 in North West, 8 in North Central, 1 in North East, 35 in Saskatoon, 2 in Central West, 14 in Central East, 29 in Regina, 1 in South West, 3 in South Central, and 6 in South East (6) zones.

As of October 26th, a total of 286 individuals are hospitalized, including 217 inpatient hospitalizations and 69 ICU hospitalizations, the Saskatchewan Government said in a statement.

Of the 286 patients, 207 (72.4%) were not fully vaccinated, the statement said, adding that three (3) additional cases were transferred to Ontario, for a total of twelve (12) SK cases who have been transferred out-of-province.

The Saskatchewan Government also added that ten (10) new deaths reported today. 827 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died, with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.

Saskatchewan on Monday reported 170 COVID-19 cases and zero additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
