Saskatchewan reports 128 COVID-19 cases, 3 additional deaths


Saskatchewan is reporting 128 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) over a 24 hour period.

The Government of Saskatchewan, in a statement, said 3 of the new cases were reported in Far North East, 10 in North West, 15 in North Central, 7 in North East. 30 in Saskatoon, 2 in Central West, 17 in Central East, 26 in Regina, 4 in South West, 1 in South Central, and 7 in and South East zones.

The statement further added that 74,989 cases are considered recovered.

As of November 1st, a total of 222 individuals are hospitalized, including 167 inpatient hospitalizations and 55 ICU hospitalizations, the Saskatchewan Government said, adding that of the 222 patients, 153 (68.9%) were not fully vaccinated.

The Saskatchewan Government also added that 26 residents of Saskatchewan are receiving treatment in out-of-province Intensive Care Units.

Meanwhile, three new deaths were also reported on Monday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 854 in Saskatchewan, with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.
