Saskatchewan reports 170 COVID-19 cases and zero additional deaths in past 24 hours


Saskatchewan reported 173 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and zero additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

15 of the new cases were reported in Far North East, one in the Far North West, 13 in North West, 11 in North Central, 8 in North East, 29 in Saskatoon, 3 in Central West, 18 in Central East, 35 in Regina. 4 in South West, 2 in South Central, and 8 in South East.

Currently, there are 2,822 active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, while 72,842 cases are considered recovered.

“As of October 25th, a total of 293 individuals are hospitalized; including 222 inpatient hospitalizations, and 71 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 293 patients, 208 (71.0%) were not fully vaccinated,” the Saskatchewan Government said in a statement.

The statement further added that no new deaths were reported today. 817 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.

Saskatchewan on Sunday reported 236 cases of COVID-19 and one additional death over a 24-hour period.
