Saskatchewan reports 188 new cases of COVID-19, no new deaths


Saskatchewan is reporting 188 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and no new deaths in the past 24 hours.

The Saskatchewan Government in a statement said the health authorities identified the new cases in Far North West (18), Far North East (3), North West (13), North Central (26), Saskatoon (33), Central East (24), Regina (28), South West (5), South Central (3) and South East (27) zones.

The statement further added that a total of 214 individuals are hospitalized due to COVID-19, as of November 4.

No new death were reported on Thursday, the statement said, adding that 862 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died, with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.

Meanwhile, the Saskatchewan Government, said the province has so far administered 1,676,433 doses of COVID-19 vaccine so far. A total of 802,376 people have been fully vaccinated in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan on Wednesday reported 173 cases of COVID-19 and 3 additional deaths over a 24-hour period.
