Saskatchewan reports 85 COVID-19 cases and 1 additional death on Tuesday


Saskatchewan is reporting 85 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and one additional death due to the virus in the past 24 hours.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (7), Far North East (1), North West (7), North Central (3), North East (3), Saskatoon (14), Central West (2), Central East (16), Regina (20), South Central (2) and South East (1) zones, the Saskatchewan Government said in a statement.

The statement further added that 1,112 cases are considered active and 77,601 cases are considered recovered.

As of November 16th, a total of 171 individuals are hospitalized; including 129 inpatient hospitalizations, and 42 ICU hospitalizations.

Of the 171 patients, 111 (64.9%) were not fully vaccinated.

The Saskatchewan Government also added that in addition to SK ICU counts, there are 11 residents in out of province ICUs.

One new death was reported today. 897 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.
