Saskatoon: Woman among 3 arrested, cocaine, $32K cash, jewellery worth $150K seized during drug probe


The Saskatoon Police arrested three people, including a woman, and seized cocaine, $32,000 cash, and expensive jewellery worth $150,000 during a drug investigation.

“At approximately 10:15 p.m., October 15, 2021, a 24-year-old man was arrested by members of the Tactical Support Unit as he was leaving a house in the 100 block of Saskatchewan Crescent East. He was found to be in possession of cocaine and cash at the time of his arrest,” the Saskatoon Police said in a statement.

The statement further added, as a result, a search warrant was executed at the address, and a 31-year-old man was arrested from inside, while a 31-year-old woman was arrested when she returned to the address.

Two additional search warrants were executed at a residence in the 200 block of Van Impe Close and an apartment in the 300 block of Tait Crescent.

In total, investigators seized, 216 grams of cocaine, a loaded firearm with a loaded spare magazine, 1500 grams of illicit cannabis, 719 grams of illicit cannabis shatter, over $32,000 in cash, a 2012 BMW, over $150,000 in expensive jewellery, cell phones, packaging, and other paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

The 24-year-old man is facing 13 drug- and weapons-related charges, the Saskatoon Police said, adding that the 31-year-old man and woman are charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine.

They also face charges under the Cannabis Act for Possession of Illicit Cannabis and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cannabis.
