Toronto Police arrest man who pepper sprayed a woman in the face, assaulted, choked her


The Toronto Police arrested a man who had pepper sprayed a woman in the face, assaulted and choked her in her own apartment.

On Saturday, May 15, 2021, at approximately 10 p.m., police responded to a call for an assault with a weapon in the area of Carlaw Avenue and Queen Street East, the Toronto Police said in a statement.

The statement further added that the man allegedly attended a woman’s apartment and pepper sprayed the woman in the face.

The man left the woman’s apartment and returned the next day and entered into the woman’s apartment and began to choke her, the Toronto Police said, adding that the man assaulted the woman multiple times.

The Toronto Police also added the police arrested Douglas MacDonald, 53, of Toronto, On Saturday, June 26, 2021, and charged him with Assault with a Weapon, Unlawfully in a Dwelling, Two counts of Assault, Two counts of Assault/Choking, and Four counts of Fail to Comply Probation.
