Toronto Police identify victim of the year’s 84th homicide


The Toronto Police identified the victim of the year’s 84th homicide following a fatal shooting which took place late on Sunday.

“On Sunday, December 26, 2021, at 7:45 p.m., police officers responded to a shooting in the Humber Boulevard and Alliance Avenue area,” the Toronto Police said in a statement.

The statement further added that the officers located a man who had been shot in a townhouse unit.

Life-saving measures were started on the man by paramedics, the Toronto Police said, adding that the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Jamar Hall, 29, of Toronto, the Toronto Police added in their statement. Two suspects were seen fleeing the area following the shooting.

The Toronto Police also added that investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have information concerning this investigation, or have dash camera or video surveillance of the area.
