Toronto Police identify young person wanted in connection with the murder of a cab driver


The Toronto Police on Tuesday identified a young person wanted on a Canada-wide warrant in connection with the murder of an elderly cab driver.

The incident occurred on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at 8:48 p.m., in the Pharmacy Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East area.

The officers located the cab driver, Christopher Jung, 73, of Toronto, alone in the vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was transported to hospital via emergency run but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased in hospital.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Police said they obtained judicial authorization to identify the Young Person involved. The judicial authorization will expire on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 12 p.m.

The statement further added that Isaiah Twyman, 17, of Toronto, is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for Second Degree Murder.

The Toronto Police warned that Twyman is believed to be armed, violent, and dangerous, urging the public not to approach if located, and call 9-1-1 immediately.
