Toronto Police search for suspects after stabbings send two to hospital with life-threatening injuries


The Toronto Police announced Sunday they are searching for suspects after two individuals were seriously injured following stabbings in the early hours of Saturday morning.

“The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance identifying a suspect or suspects in a stabbing investigation,” The Toronto Police said in a statement.

The statement further added that on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at 3:52 a.m., police responded to a call for a stabbing in the Tapscott Road and Finch Avenue East area.

A group was reportedly gathered near vehicles in a commercial centre parking lot, the Toronto Police said, adding that a dispute erupted between several individuals and two men were stabbed several times.

The Toronto Police also added that both victims were transported to hospital by paramedics with serious and life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are appealing to anyone that witnessed the stabbing, or were in the area at the time, and have video surveillance or dash cam footage to contact them, the Toronto Police said.
