The Toronto Police announced Monday that they are seeking security or dash camera footage in downtown collision that left eight people injured.
The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon on Richmond Street West at Yonge Street, after a silver Kia operated by a 22-year-old man, collided with a white Hyundai operated by a 32-year-old man.
According to a statement released by Toronto Police, the Kia vehicle was travelling westbound in the left lane and the Hyundai was also travelling westbound in the middle lane.
The statement further added that the Hyundai turned left across the path of the Kia and both collided causing the Kia to roll on its side striking multiple pedestrians.
Eight people were transported to hospital, two in life-threatening condition, the Toronto Police said, adding that the investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.
The Toronto Police also added that they are asking local residents, business and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
