Toronto Police upgrade charge in Bluffer’s Park homicide to Manslaughter


The Toronto Police announced Sunday that they have upgrade the charge in Bluffer’s Park homicide to Manslaughter.

According to a statement released by Toronto Police, the 37-year-old Nate Hill, had his charged upgraded to Manslaughter on Saturday, July 31, 2021.

The statement further added that he is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, today, August 1, 2021.

The police arrested Nate Hill on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, in connection with an incident which took place on Monday, July 19, 2021, at approximately 8 a.m., at Bluffer’s Park, 1 Brimley Road, Scarborough.

According to Toronto Police, the incident took place in the area of the boat launch after two men became involved in a physical altercation.

One of the men made his way to a hospital for a head injury as a result of the altercation, the Toronto Police said, adding that he remained in the hospital in critical condition.

The Toronto Police identified the victim of the incident as 37-year-old Steven Mitchell.
