Toronto violin teacher arrested for sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl


A violin teacher in Toronto has been arrested and charged for sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl on multiple occasions.

The 58-year-old, Kui Sun, allegedly sexually assaulted the girl between May 2021 and October 2021, in the Leslie Street and Sheppard Avenue East area.

Members of Sex Crimes – Child & Youth Advocacy Centre arrested Sun following an investigation on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.

Also known as “teacher Sun” to his students, Sun He is facing ten counts of Sexual Assault, and ten counts of Sexual Interference

He is scheduled to appear in Court on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 1000 Finch Avenue West, at 2:30 p.m., in courtroom 301.

The CYAC was opened in October 2013 and is comprised of specialized child abuse investigators from the Toronto Police Service, in collaboration with members of the Catholic Children’s Aid Society, the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto, the Hospital for Sick Children’s Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Program (SCAN), Radius Child & Youth Services, and Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre.
