Saskatchewan is reporting 48 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and two additional deaths due to the virus.
As of December 6th, there are 48 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 81,410 reported cases, the Saskatchewan government said in a statement.
Two of the new cases are located in the Far North West, 2 in North West, 2 in North Central, 15 in Saskatoon, 1 in Central West, 8 in Central East, 12 in Regina, 3 in South Central, and 2 in South East zones.
A total of 130 individuals are hospitalized as of December 6, 201, including 100 inpatient hospitalizations and 30 ICU hospitalizations.
Of the 130 patients, 85 (65.4%) were not fully vaccinated, the Saskatchewan government said, adding that two new deaths reported today.
The Saskatchewan government also added that 931 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died, with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.
