Two women injured following a shooting incident in Vaughan Ontario

Two women sustained injuries following a shooting incident in Vaughan city of Ontario in the early hours of Monday morning.

“On Monday, October 18, 2021, at 3:40 a.m., York Regional Police responded to the area of Langstaff Road and Silmar Drive for a report of a shooting. Officers located a vehicle at the scene with a bullet hole through a door, along with several shell casings. A second scene was located nearby in a plaza in the area of Langstaff Road and Valeria Boulevard,” the York Regional Police said in a statement.

The statement further added that the officers located two female victims at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot injuries.

Officers are appealing to any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time who have not yet spoken to police to please come forward, the statement said, adding that investigators are also seeking any video surveillance from the area or anyone that may have captured dashcam video on the roadways.
