The US Government has asked its citizens to leave the Serena Hotel in Kabul immediately, warning that the luxury hotel is facing imminent threats from the terrorists.
“Because of security threats at the Serena Hotel, we advise U.S. citizens to avoid traveling to the hotel and the surrounding vicinity,” the State Department said in a security alert issued on Monday.
Emphasizing that the US citizens who are at or near the Serena Hotel should leave immediately, the State Department urged the Americans to aware of their surroundings at all times, especially in large crowds.
The State Department did not disclose further information regarding the threats the hotel is facing.
However, it added that the American citizens should follow the instructions of local authorities including movement restrictions related to curfews.
