The Calgary Police announced Wednesday that that have charged a youth in connection with a shooting incident at a bus stop in Northeast quadrant of the city.
“We have charged a youth in relation to a shooting that took place last month in the community of Rundle,” the Calgary Police said in a statement.
The incident took place on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, at approximately 5:25 p.m., when two males approached a man who was standing at the bus stop, located at 32 Avenue and Rundleside Drive N.E., and opened fire on him.
Acxording to Calgary Police, one of the males produced a gun and shot the man, striking him in the leg, following a conversation.
The victim was transported to hospital in non-life-threatening condition.
Following an investigation, a youth has been charged in relation to the shooting, the Calgary Police said, adding that under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the accused cannot be identified.
